This isn’t a time to be distracted by shiny objects (utterance overheard on the fly at the bike trail?)

Crows while curious about glints in the grass, are not fooled.

Young crows may act, well, young, & appear to focus on shiny items,

but mature crows know what’s what.

When I heard a passing biker say

“this is no time to focus on shiny objects,”

it reminded me to focus: support wisdom,

give $ to them’s that’ll slow the hand of the unwise;

get the voters to the polls, be brave, speak truth to power.

Be like the crows.

More thoughts:

The shiny object gambit is used by Trump. His tweet storms distract us from his outrageous acts. But I think the American people are too smart to stay numbed and distracted. Our press is not fake but it has been too gullible. We’ve got to be laser-like. For instance, each time Trump attacks a bedrock environmental protection, that attack needs countering in the courts, in Congress, and beyond. (See EDF.org and NRDC.org: every 8 days the latter sues the Administration, thereby at least staying his destructive power.)

Killdeers do the broken wing to distract predators. How about we have TrumpBoltonPompeo watch The Blue Dot?

Watch the Blue Dot, you war cabinet of hawkish, short-sighted, irresponsible, so-called leaders. Trump and John Bolton and Mike Pompeo (and Putin?) scare me terribly. I feel like the Killdeer  parent must when confronted by a predator.

THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE NOT ENOUGH.

THROW THEM OUT.

Find out if your Member of Congress accepted NRA money and tell them you’ve had enough.
