Snarled world needs a lock picker. Not a man who looks like he’s smashed the caps-lock key. A 420 character 9-liner

(Kit prepared by a 6-year old, “just in case.”) Now to the 420-9-liner:

Tweets that look like he’s smashed the caps-lock key?

Doing harm (again) to the next generation?

Hunched over his hand-held device, foaming at the mouth.

(Hmm. Or was that Alec Baldwin?)

Action needed, people, to loose these surly bonds.

Like Francis (from Assisi?) said:

Do the necessary, then the possible, then we’re geared for the impossible.

Or the very difficult.

This needs a lock-picking kit mind-set not tweets

This isn’t a time to be distracted by shiny objects (utterance overheard on the fly at the bike trail?)

Crows while curious about glints in the grass, are not fooled.

Young crows may act, well, young, & appear to focus on shiny items,

but mature crows know what’s what.

When I heard a passing biker say

“this is no time to focus on shiny objects,”

it reminded me to focus: support wisdom,

give $ to them’s that’ll slow the hand of the unwise;

get the voters to the polls, be brave, speak truth to power.

Be like the crows.

More thoughts:

The shiny object gambit is used by Trump. His tweet storms distract us from his outrageous acts. But I think the American people are too smart to stay numbed and distracted. Our press is not fake but it has been too gullible. We’ve got to be laser-like. For instance, each time Trump attacks a bedrock environmental protection, that attack needs countering in the courts, in Congress, and beyond. (See EDF.org and NRDC.org: every 8 days the latter sues the Administration, thereby at least staying his destructive power.)

How to keep learning? How to counter Trump and Fox News. A 420 character 9 liner on Times Square bees and staying in the know.

I approximate to stay on the edge of my learning.

I read, listen, & make connections.

Often I do this frenetically so as not to fall prey to conspiracy-theorist,

Fox News predator types.

I like the mindset of that beekeeper

watching the capture of a huge bee swarm in Times Square.

He estimated the swarm size to be 20,000.

Are you sure? No, he says, but, to be sure all you need to do is

count the legs & divide by 6.”
