Make a call in support of ACA. Here’s Paul Ryan’s phone number; his office is conducting a phone poll. Call in support of the Affordable Care Act. Now!!

He’s hoping for an overwhelming number of negatives. Prove him wrong.

202-225-3500

It only takes 2 minutes. Please call! The vote is on FEB 2, this Thursday!

Paul Ryan’s office is conducting a phone poll, hoping to hear overwhelming opposition to the Affordable Care Act. Here’s how you can participate:

Call 202-225-3500. There will be a silence for about 1-2 min- DO NOT HANG UP.

Jerry Brown makes me want to be a Californian.

“I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation.”* Elie Wiesel. I see the hand of our closet president in the White House’s subtle Holocaust denial? (a 420 character, 9-line poem) statement.

Haskell Billauer was my great-uncle

& one of the 6 million Jews targeted by the Nazis “final solution.”

Mom’s family knew he’d been killed

when the Red Cross returned the care packages

they’d been sending to the Warsaw Ghetto.

Why did the White House use the generic “sad” & “people”

instead of “Jewish” & “antisemitism”

in a 2017 Holocaust Rememberance paper?

Coded Holocaust-denying for the base?

Well, I remember Haskell.

PATTY

More words on the title:

Elie Wiesel survivied the Holocaust. He said, “I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation. We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.”

More Thoughts from me, Patty:

I see insidious persecution taking root in our country. The Holocaust and other genocides happened because the rest of us let it. Afraid to speak out. Indifferent. Bystanders. “Don’t stand by” was the theme for last year’s Holocaust Memorial Day. What was Trump’s theme for this year’s rememberance?  I fear his statement tells it all. I think the inner circles of the White House are flirting with Holocaust denial because some of the loyal base are looking for it.
