I love Isaac Asimov, not as much as I love the 6-year old who wrote the message pictured below, but Isaac did teach me this: “Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in a while, or the light won’t come in.”  (This is tucked in my mental shelf of wisdoms along with such as “minds like diapers need occasional changing.” Sayra? Did you make that one up?)

  1. All I remember about Asimov is reading The Foundation in school and it leaving behind an impression of humans actually being highly developed robots. That never left me because it seemed so real and possible.
