WP Editor Ben Huberman opens a Pandora’s box this week. He says share a photo of something marked by its weight — or its air of weightlessness. Show us gravity at its most unforgiving, or most generous.

Don’t just do something, sit there.

-Thich Nhat Hanh

Enjoy the freedom of no anticipation, no expectations.

Monkey mind scrambling from thought to thought?

Let gravity and the breath banish any tension in your body.

Try meditating. It’s where your journey really begins.

And, yes, there’s an app for that.

  1. Thanks for this audio meditation, Toni. I sat with it the other night. Thich Nhat Hanh’s voice is clear and sweet. Forty minutes went by in a blink. I was surprised and pleased…still smiling with every breath.

      1. I sit in a chair. Been sitting in the morning and before bed for 15 minutes each time for the last year and a half. Took me a month to train myself to be able to sit in the chair without moving a muscle. I set a timer too, so I wouldn’t have to look. Then I added noticing my breath, but all in the 15 minutes. Now I just know when the time’s up. The longest I’ve gone is 20 minutes, so I wasn’t sure how this 40-minute meditation would go and I’ve never listened to music or anyone speaking while I sit. Just regular noises. I’m not going to lengthen my 15 minute stints, but now that I know I can, I think I’ll sit with Thich Nhat Hanh…and you! a couple times a week. :o) Thanks again.
