I grew up in an all-American town.

    1. Yes, CT. You’re too funny, I haven’t heard ‘Tornton’ in a while. Actually, T-Town was pretty big to me. I lived way out and had to take the bus into town to go to The Library, all imposing with its columns and marble. Whenever I scraped up a dime, that is. 🙂

      1. Wow, you got to go on a bus??? 🙂
Torrington Subaru and dad’s dentist were the only reasons I have been there recently. It was considered “out of the way” most every other time. Sorry to say…

        1. I had to go on the bus because my mother didn’t drive and we lived ‘way out’ in the east End. I loved it. The bus driver, George, took really good care of me. Usually I was the only one on the big yellow bus in the heat of midsummer. Everyone in the ‘way out’ was under a tree with an iced tea, not shambling into the ‘hot city’ on a stifling bus to go to the library. Now that I live farther away, I don’t go into town anymore either, just to the Warner. But when I do, it’s a trip…down memory lane. 🙂
