Back then, you just showed up on the first day of school, dressed in your best, already knowing that you must raise your hand to ask a question, use the pencil sharpener, and, most important of all, to tell on someone.
I. Was. So. Ready.
The Unexpected Problem: I‘m ready to start my Kindergarten life, arrive at the classroom…uh oh, no room for me? This was not my/mother’s plan.
The Principal’s Solution: Put the girl in first grade. No tests, turmoil, or tantrums. Mrs. Pepper welcomes all.
The Outcome: Second grade, here I come.
