These days, Patty and I are deep into Vivaldi’s Sonates Originales for Violincello et Piano, No. III to be precise.  It’s the French edition, No.5082, printed in Paris and exhumed from Patty’s archive of grade school sheet music.


When we practice, Patty’s cello creates a melody that is ethereal. My piano part provides contrapuntal texture.  We’ll be at these largos and allegros until they’re perfect better.


Vivaldi is so this season.  

The man is immortal.

 Here’s why.
