Winter Storm IllinoisAre you barraged with ice, snow and so-cold-you-could-cry temperatures? Going to the gym is tough, isn’t it? That’s the slap-honest truth, especially in the dead of winter. Like when you’d rather just stay home and bake a batch of brownies.

That isn’t my problem this year. I have no excuse.

It’s feast or feast here in the slow lane.

But if you want/need a good workout without putting on pendulously weighty winter gear, check out FitFusion. It’s a new streaming service that’s like Netflix for workout videos on your computer, tablet, or Apple TV.

Do you need that genuine Jillian-Michaels-marrow-freezing-yell-at-you experience? Want be huffing and puffing by the end?

Phew. I finished her cardio workout.   imagesJust kidding. I’m on my third brownie.

How are you keeping fit this winter?

What’s your out-and-out scrumptious reward?

  1. I had to get to the very last line of your entry–do you call them entries like I do?–to calm my anxious heart that paradise hadn’t changed you into a copper-toned, buff beach bum glamour girl. (I read about those girls in the magazines at the Village General Store here in my new town. We don’t BUY the magazines, but I flip through them in the check-out line. I just help fill the shopping cart; I don’t do the paying part.) Then I sighed with relief. Ah, yes, there it is: Toni’s on her third brownie. Good. It always seemed to me that you were more of a multiple-brownie person than a jump-in-front-of-a-tv-gym-rat-who-can’t-make-it-to-the-gym person.

  2. Oh, and that question about out-and-out scrumptious reward? I’m going to write about it in my next entry. It’s a NEW reward, since I no longer am allowed to drink Coke.
    New owners. New Rules.

      1. Owners came off the end of my fingers and into the ethernet without stopping by my inner censor. 🙂 No way would Mimi and Pop make rules about what I read. I know this because my Dad told me that he read anything he wanted. I haven’t thought of reading the Hunger Games series yet. But now that you’ve brought it up, maybe I’ll check it out. 🙂
