It’s as if he’s in the Olympic mogul event.
Flaps his wings. Jerks his tail and body violently.
Hops from fence rails, logs, low branches, piles of wood, trellis bars.
Tail erect, he hops in and out of sight.
Right before he leaps or flies,
he lowers his body and then springs up as if his legs were pistons,
all the while singing: Chirr-up! Chirr-up!
