Scoots, creeps, scolds

not a description of the activities* of our Congress…

as “cocks his tail up when foraging and down when singing” reveals,

but maybe Congress COULD look to the Carolina Wren

for a model of impassioned action.

They love to move low through tangled under stories,

backyard brush piles and areas choked with vines and bushes.

Congress: creep into the bracken

and get hacking at the problems! Scoot!

*   unless you could call this chart of the back and forth over the shutdown as anything close to being as constructive as the activity of the Carolina Wren as it scours the bushes for food and companionship.
