She found it.

I pass her as I walk from Arch Street onto the Farmington River Trail;

she’s jogging, all glistening and pony-tailed

but has to stop to dig a singing phone from her fanny pack.

She taps it, says hi,

and then starts a smile so wide it’ll have to be folded to get into her car.

I hear: You do? You do? I love you too. Yes! Tons!

We’re all looking for the same thing* and at Arch and the River?

She found it.

  1. Right. I do like to read the help-wanted, helpers-wishing-to-be-wanted, for sale, wish it was for sale, pick-your-own blueberries or whatever produce signs before I sashay into a big market. It’s like a counter-culture hulking right outside the arena of regular stuff, waiting to be chosen instead of the name brand. Back to that wanting vs finding idea, though, do you think we sometimes miss when we GET the thing we wanted? We’ve been in wanting mode for so long, it might take a while for it to register?
    Enjoy the journey is what I say.
