(Cape Cod Missive) Booby is Not a Perjorative Term in My Lexicon, Unless It Refers to Those Sheep in a Jeep (A 420 Character, 9 Line Poem)

A Brown Booby landed on a whale boat near Stellwagen Bank,

a remarkable traveler a loooong way from home,

but he’s familiar to me and the kids

because his cousin,the Blue-Footed Booby,

has been drawn by Margot Apple onto most pages in the Sheep in a Ship series.

BFB, with feet of fabulous blue,

do high-stepping struts and bemused fly-bys

watching (along with the reader) as the sheep engage in hapless antics.

Boobies.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Fresh

WordPress Sara says the definition for fresh has a bit of a fork in it – it’s a state (new, recent, previously unknown) and it’s a taste or sensation (cool, sweet, invigorating, refreshing).

It all begins with a Pitchfork.

From garden to plate. No barcodes.
